Stay For Awhile is based in Austin, with Spencer personally calling the Austin area home for over a decade. This isn't a remote team working off a map — that local knowledge of each submarket's regulations, guest demand, and seasonality is part of what makes a listing perform.
Austin
Austin requires a Short-Term Rental license for every STR property, with licensing rules and unit limits that vary by property type. We guide owners through that registration and renewal process -- including the city's safety requirements -- for every property we manage; the license itself is filed and held by the property owner. We manage listings across Austin's core neighborhoods, including South Congress, Zilker, Travis Heights, East Austin, and Steiner Ranch.
Suburbs
Pflugerville and Round Rock currently have no separate short-term rental license requirement, while Cedar Park now requires STR registration and an annual fee. These rules shift often, so we verify each property's status before listing. Spencer lives in the Austin suburbs himself, so this is home turf, not a satellite market. We manage properties throughout Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, and Leander.
Hill Country
Hill Country lake towns each handle short-term rentals differently: Spicewood currently has no separate STR license requirement, while Marble Falls and Dripping Springs both require registration, Wimberley requires a Conditional Use Permit for every rental, and Horseshoe Bay requires an annual STR permit. Lago Vista is in the process of revising its ordinance, so we verify each property's current status before listing. We manage properties across Spicewood, Marble Falls, Dripping Springs, Horseshoe Bay, and Lago Vista.
